Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Selling something on craigslist, specifically a kitchen appliance, text response saying someone was interested in the product and to email this gmail account, emailed gmail account saying they will send a 2 day priority UPS check to mailing address, recieved in mail after I said no to the gmail account. Check in mail was for $1958.92 from Eddicon Corporation. Googled Eddicon Cooperation and it does not exist. The address listed is 24203 Bella Veneza Dr Richmond Texas, 77406 and it is a regular house that is up for sale. Also listed on the check is Properity Bank: Highway 6 Banking Center, 1070 Highway 6 S Houston, TX 77077-1020. Called bank and they confirmed they have had multiple calls and scams already reported. And many people have been conned and lost tons of money! Do not cash check ever!
