Type of a scam Employment

This is a reshipping scam. The scammers indicate through text that "you are accepted for a position" then they provide you a web address to follow to review the vacancy detail. The vacancy description is for a logistics manager position and indicates that your starting salary is $2,550$ USD with bonuses of $50 USD for packages mailed within a 12 hour period. The websites are pretty elaborate and are functional, so it is easy to think it may be legit. However, if you contact the senders of the packages you receive, you will find out that most of the items purchased were accomplished using unauthorized charge accounts. In some cases, the packages are recalled by the sender before they even get to your home because the sender is notified of the unauthorized purchase. However, packages that do make it through, are received at your home and are addressed to different people and you are required to notify (through their website provided) the company when you receive the package. The company then sends you a pre-paid label and you just attach and take it to the post office. After your 30 day probation period, you are promised your pay and an increase to $3,250–they may even contact you to offer you a promotion to a supervisor position. On the day your pay is promised to be released, you can click all day and all week to have your pay released; however, you never receive the cash and then you are eventually routed to a beautiful (sarcasm) panoramic photo of New York City, with no means to access pay information. The only thing lost to you is time. If, you fall into this scam, hopefully you kept receipts and address information on the packages you sent out. Give it to law enforcement and let them take it from there.
