Dwight Brown also known as Becker Brown requested to follow me on Instagram. I accepted and followed him back. He was very charming and said all the right things. He asked if we could chat on WhatsApp and wanted me to deactivate my Instagram account as he didn’t want any other men messaging me. After a week of chatting on WhatsApp he said he loved me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He told me he worked at JFK airport as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer and was recently contracted to go to Istanbul, Turkey for work. He stays in an apartment near JFK then goes to his house in Rochester occasionally on the weekends. His birthday was in late June and he asked me if I was going to get him a gift as it would be a good memory for him. He wanted an iTunes gift card so I sent him a $40 card. While in Turkey, he asked for another Itunes gift card because he was unable to purchase US iTunes in Turkey. I stupidly purchased a $50 card for him. I asked him to send me a copy of his drivers license because my best friend thought he was a scammer. He said he would but didn’t. 2 days later he called me distraught telling me he lost his drivers license, credit cards and passport and needed my assistance in sending him money. That was a huge red flag and I declined. He got upset with me because I wanted some kind of proof that he was who he said he was. He loves designer clothes and fancy cars. Lots of lies were told to me. Please beware.
