Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
We put an ad to sell our furniture on Offer Up website and this person with the so called name "Dustin Hunter" said he was interested in buying the furniture for $1800. We agreed on the deal and he sent an online check image to be deposited. I was doubtful about that, but he assured me that it would work.
The check turned out to be a fictitious and fraudulent and my bank rejected it. I am attaching a copy of the check for the benefit of others, in case you run across this person. This may happen in the Illinois, Alabama, Kansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia and Kentucky states.
Beware of this fraudster. The checks are coming from Tender’s Inc. The email used is [email protected]
My bank has charged me $30 [censored] penalty to deposit a fraud check.
