This company contacted me, requested my email address to send me job details then asking me to download the telegram app to complete a virtual interview. I asked if it could be scheduled for a later date because I was driving and they said no and still forced me to proceed. I googled their name and found they were affiliated with scams, upon asking them about it they stopped responding. This occurred on 4/13/2020. I applied for an administrative position on indeed however never for a company by with their name which was another red flag. They also made initial contact via text messages which I felt was unprofessional….I was told to contact Davidwilliams43 via the telegram app. Once I downloaded the telegram app and attempted to begin the interview process they stopped replying after being questioned about the scam alert I found.

I received at text from the number 218-219-8134 stating their name was Dana and they were offering me a customer service position for $25 an hour. They wanted me to download the app Telegram to message the "HR Manager" with the Telegram ID Davidwilliams43 for an "interview." This is the second time I have received a message like this so I was aware of the scam. They give a vague offer and ask you to download Telegram. Once they "interview" you, they will eventually ask you for money to "acquire the needed materials for the job." However, there is no job and they scam you out of money. This is the second time they tried to do this to me using the same exact tactic. Luckily for me, I knew it was a scam before it went any further and blocked both numbers that they tried to use. The first incident I have already reported to the BBB. I am reporting this one as well because I think it is disgusting that these people are going after vulnerable individuals during such a stressful time when many are out of work who may fall prey to this scam in desperation for a job.

I got a text message Saturday afternoon from someone claiming to be the HR rep for Deloitte LLP offering me a job because they saw my resume online and were interesting in speaking with me. They gave me a job id (JOB -32). And the rest of the message said for me to add her to my google hangout with the email [email protected] and IM her my job id to start the online interview . The did the typical overview of the company typical for a interview then they proceeded to ask typical interview questions. I didn’t get suspicious until after the "interview" and the lady said I had the job and started telling what I’m going to do and all that good stuff and when she said the pay would be $28/hr i was like no way this is real so I had my boyfriend look into the company it looks legit but I believe the person who contacted me doesnt work for them. There email looks to personal not a company email and plus who does online interview through text not video chat.
