Type of a scam Tax Collection

I had a voice mail message on my work voice mail this morning from a man identifying himself as David Gray from the US Treasury, phone number 306-394-0059, advising me to contact him regarding an urgent tax enforcement matter. Since this was on my work voice mail, and I work in a legal department responding to subpoenas and garnishments, I assumed this was regarding a subpoena or garnishment directed to my company, so I returned "David Gray’s" call. The man who answered spoke with an Indian accent. I asked what matter this was regarding and he said it was about my unpaid taxes. I told him I had no unpaid taxes, that he didn’t know what he was talking about and that he was a scammer, and I hung up the phone. I then found the BBB bulleting about a tax enforcement scam involving an individual named David Gray.
