Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

Originally it began with my student email with a message about pet sitting for about 300 dollars a week for someone’s uncle. Then it began with my personal email with the person telling me they were going to send me a check that I needed to take so much out of the check and then send the rest to another person. I began blocking and reporting their messages since it was all a scam especially when they asked for my bank information. They began also trying to pressure me into cashing it as soon as possible, to which I just simply blocked and reported any all contact from them. For me it all confusing for the emails are from Austria the check was through Kansas City MO. The Check came through with a name of Kevin R Nicholls from Michigan. The phone number they texted me through was from Florida. I still have the emails, and the check for proof of these scams. At first the pet sitting job seemed to be real and then after I gave my name, phone number, and my address. That is when I realized it was a scam. At least it was before I even received the check that according to UPS was coming from Illinois.
