Type of a scam Online Purchase

I found the website during a search for miniature pinscher puppies. They gave an email address for contact. So I emailed them and stated I was interested in one of the puppies. They emailed me back and gave their terms. They said that a pet carrier was included in the purchase price of $500 and that shipping was $150 to my door. Payment was to be made through Zelle app transfer or with a WalMart gift card. I chose the Walmart gift card. I sent them the Walmart card information and they promptly sent me an email stating that I would be contacted by the courier with the shipping information. I was contacted by email by United Express Pet Traveller’s. United wanted an additional $1000 to rent a Thermal Electronic Crate because the Ventilated Crate provided by the seller did not contain potty pet space, water bowl, and food cane (what ever that is). United stated that 95% of this cost would be refunded upon delivery of the puppy. United wanted payment in the same form as previously paid. I thought that this was odd – but went to Walmart to obtain additional gift cards. Upon check-out the cashier asked me what I was going to use the cards for – I told him and he questioned whether or not to give the cards to me because it sounded like I was being scammed. I went home thinking about this and got on the internet to research pet scams and was so disappointed that I was scammed into believing I would get my puppy. Lucky it only costed me $700 and not $1700.
