I made the mistake of accepting a work from home employment offer that turned out to be a scam. I was scammed out of thousands of dollars when i foolishly accepted funds from them to purchase office equipment. Etc.., supposedly for work. A few weeks later they had the funds that they had sent to me reversed. Now i am unemployed and thousands in the whole for items i purchased for their scam, and I don’t have the items in my possession so i can’t even try to return them. I have no way of handling this situation, and am frightened to even try to find them anyway. I have no way to pay the credit card company . I tried to explain how the debt incurred from this scam, but, credit card companies do not disallow purchases for scam victims. I do feel that they purposely targeted me, but, i would not know how to prove that.
