Type of a scam Debt Collections

This company called and left messages on my voicemail that said that I have had a complaint brought against me and my local county clerks office would contact me. I called them back to see what the issue was and they stated that I took out a payday loan in 2011 for $400 and that they were a mediation company working with Pack management to file paperwork for a civil and criminal lawsuit. I told them – I had no idea what they were talking about and the they read my personal info to me. They said that I will be facing hot checks and defrauding a bank charges. I asked that they send me information proving theses allegations and they said that they could not. They said that they would be sending paperwork to my county clerks office at the end of the week if I did not settle. I was called by a lady a fraud and con artist for trying to rip off loan company’s and that I would be going to jail. I was hung up on 9x and they would not provide me with any info on there company or about the company trying to sue me.
