Type of a scam Tax Collection

The man that called had a foreign accent. He said that he was from the criminal investigation department for the IRS and he had a warrant for my arrest that he would issue if I did not make arrangements to pay $3950.00 that I owed because of a miscalculation they found in my IRS filings. He then went on to give me a court case number, an arrest warrant number, his name, and a file number and told me not to share any of the information with anyone else, nor to hang up the phone because if I did he would turn the warrant over to the police and they would arrest me. I then asked to speak with his supervisor which he did nothing but tried to disguise his voice. After stating that I knew nothing of what he was talking about and then asking that he send me documentation of his findings, he said that they had already sent me documents back in May and that he would not send me anymore and that I could see them once I was arrested and appeared in court. After arguing with him for nearly 10 minutes, my co-worker who overheard the conversation told me to hang up because it was a scam. The only information he was able to get from me was my name and home address.
