Type of a scam Credit Cards

Someone (female) with accent; possibly Middle Eastern asked me to verify that I was who she thought I was. She did have my name but I did not verify I was who she thought I was. She advised that she was with Credit One card services and wanted to verify who I was by using my name. I advised her that I did not feel comfortable stating whether or not I was who she thought I was as it didn’t seem like a Credit card service would be calling from a local number as opposed to an 800 number. She began to stutter and I hung up at that time.
