fraud used fake car to scam money from people on craigs list using fake ebay
These people posts vehicles on craigs list and ebay that are not legit. They use ‘ebay services’ to carry out the sale. They use fake ‘ebay invoices’. Everything about them is fake. They have you purchase ebay gift cards to pay for the vehicle they are ‘selling’ you. You will receive ‘confirmation emails’ for everything they direct you to do. They will contact you thru e-mail only and will only accept payments using ebay gift cards. Then after they have gotten your payment for the vehicle, they send you another from ”ebay shipping dept" demanding additional shipping insurance ($800 and $500 is what they got us for, $2400 total).
