Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I had a job offer from this company through my college/university email. They weekly wage for this job was $300. I accepted it and they sent me a check of $1950 which was found out to be fake. The $300 weekly wage was included in this. So I deposited this check and they told me to use the remaining $1650 and do a wire transfer to Walmart 249 in Texas to get the supplies needed for this job. I withdrew this money from the ATM and did the wire transfer. As soon as the money was received, the original check I deposited was removed and so now that means I’m left with no money.
