Claims to be from Consumers Energy. States that technicians are on route to cut off electric service as prior payments have been credited to the wrong account. Instructs person to go to Rite Aid and purchase MoneyPak cards and to then call back with the pin numbers on the cards. Claims payments are no longer processed at the Consumers Energy Clay Ave offices and the only way to avoid power cut off is the purchase the MoneyPak cards and call in the numbers on the cards to a phone number and person whose name they give to you (other than any number used by ConsumersEnergy). Also claims due dates on the mailed notices are incorrect and any overpayment will be sent back through a credit on the clients account.
