I did a GOOGLE search for "quicken contact number." The first link on my phone had a number that I could immediately click on and call. The person that picked up asked what my problem was and said he could help me no problem. He just needed to look at my computer. he then had me go to a browser and type in an address. Now I see it installed Go To Assist (I think, I have since deleted this software). He ran some processes and scrolled through reports, asking me to read what I saw. It read I have a database that became corrupted. I told him I had backups of my Quicken. He then said if the database if corrupted, then Quicken could not open old database files. He said he needed to talk to his manager and see what they could do to fix the problem and then he put me on hold. At this point things seemed fishy so I hung up and disconnected the remote viewer. I got 2 missed calls from a different 800 number which I tried calling back later and there was no answer. I did get in touch with Quicken. I never had a database problem. I just needed to update my account connection with my bank within Quicken.
