Type of a scam Tech Support

hello everone,

I was browsing the web trying to download a game and then this pop up came up on www.CheapComputerSupport.com

this website claims that a browser lock is in effect due to viruses on the computer and it tells you to call 888-244-1261 for immediate support. Once done, they answer with a fake name claiming to be Microsoft Certified Technicians. Then they ask you to go into the run box and go to www.fastsupport.com so that they can remote access your computer via the logmein software and diagnose the problem. Once connected, they first go into the prefetch folder and claim that all the files in it are viruses and go into cmd and run the netstat command to claim that there are hackers on your computer. after this, they go into the msconfig and tell you that the stopped services are caused by viruses and they should all be in running condition. after this i had told them that that is normal because some are set to manual and after that they just deny it and say they should be running. To further prove my point, I installed a VM of windows XP that was completely clean and they said its infected with Trojens and viruses.
