The called and convinced me that my computer was being used as a hub for hackers, they added software and cleaned out the hackers access added a scanning software, I paid them $200 the sent me a receipt and still will answer the phone when I call. I felt that they might actually have be legit until 3 days later I can’t access my computer without an access code. I call them up and they act honestly confused and claim they didn’t do it. They scam still doesn’t really make sense. But my computer is toast and they have my credit card information

I got a phone call from the company, Computer Phone Assist. We discussed the services they provide which involves cleaning my computer from multiple connections from hackers who have invaded my computer. I allowed the person to connect to my computer to facilitate the process of installing the protections.

I was opted to pay for the lifetime service on my computer together with installation fees. I paid with my credit card, and I have subsequently been informed by my bank that the amount was paid: a total of $739.00

The person told me that they will send me by e-mail the document detailing the services for which I paid.

I paid with my credit card.

So far I have had no e-mail from Computer Phone Assist.
