My mother found an ad for a rescue dog to adopt. Upon inquiring hardly any info was given. My mom felt funny about it so she called me to find out more. After searching and googling plenty, the phone number she was texted from, 312-661-5149, I found to be a landline via Ameritech in Chicago IL, not in our state or area as they stated. Also the phone number stated was found to be in numerous cities across the USA and in the UK with puppies of all different sorts out for adoption, but only if you went to the super shady website and paid via credit card the supposed possibly refundable $50 fee. The site had no info, contact info, dogs for adoption, or even events under their calendar. Also since they were talking about a schnauzer, funny that the website was www.yorkie4homes.webs.com/ Nuts!! The only thing correct was the part where you entered your credit card info. Facebook did show the number was assigned to a "Donne Lee in Los Angeles, CA", however there was no info there and obviously a fake Facebook profile.

The reverse google image search showed the same dog with the same info in the UK for sale. The 312-661-5149 number was again the contact. The contact refuses to let you even see the dog- if it even exists- until you have paid the $50 fee. I should mention also that all the people Ive ever adopted or rescued dogs from KNOW how to spell their animals breeds. Shnauzer was not correct, the grammar was bad at times such as this tidbit from their website:

"She is current on her vaccinations and worming schedule and are eating hard food." Hope you noticed it as I did. I am sure there is plenty more to find on this scam, but I had to make sure my mother was not about to be taken for her hard earned money when she really wants an animal to love. Stay away from these people and always google to death as much as you can to be on the safe side. Side note- ScamPulse.com had no info on the supposed company either. Go figure.
