I perform mystery shopping as my job. I had been applying to various companies to join them for more work. A couple of days after I had completed many applications, I received an email from a company I had never heard of. The name of the company is Clearly Canadian. It offered me $400.00 per week for 20 weeks if I permitted their company to mount signs on my car as advertising for them. This seemed very attractive. It outlined that I would receive a cheque for $400.00. Instead the parameters changed whereby I would $400.00 plus $4350.00 for the company that would mount the advertising on the car. I would take $400.00 for my self and send $4350.00 to the sign company.

Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

recieved a text about $300 a week to wrap my car with advertisment. Initial email was with [email protected] next email was from Troy Gillis . The first reply e-mail he asked for vehical information and said he would submit my application for approval. Next e-mail said CONGRATS I was hired. This is the email I recieved, looks like they might dip into my account whenever they wanted?

This email message is to inform you that your vehicle has been approved for our auto vinyl advertisement. We have mailed payment for this exercise in the amount of $3,386.92 (Re-estimated) via our distributor. This payment is expected to cover the car vinyl expenses ($3,083.00) and your first week payment of $300. The payment will arrive your address within 5-7 business days. You are required to notify us on receipt of the payment and upon deposit, email us a picture copy of the deposit receipt for our documentation.

Note: The vinyl installation and removal will be carried out at your address provided during registration on scheduled dates by the wrap expert. In an unlikely event of any scratch or damage during installation or removal of the vinyl decal, we will take full responsibility for payment of the any cost associated with the repair.

Kindly acknowledge receipt of this email and endeavor to notify us as soon as payment is received.
