My mother went to Clara’s Boutique to sell approximately $1,200 worth of clothing. Early July she discovered the store was closed when she went in person. According to the store’s facebook account, there was liquidation sell June 25, 2016. A business search on ‘Clara’s Boutique’ shows she been cited by Colorado state as Status: Noncompliant; ID Number: 20151236951; Document number: 20151236951; Name: Clara’s Boutique, LLC. ; Event: Articles of Organization; Form: DLCC; Formation date: 04/02/2015.(http://www.sos.state.co.us/biz/BusinessEntityCriteriaExt.do). I have suspicions suspect that my mother is not the only victim, and it was a rather elaborate scam. Considering she was cited the year before in 2015, and knew when my mother signed the cosignment contract that she would have to close, yet she avoided my mother’s calls and never gave her her share of the profits per consignment contract.
