Type of a scam Debt Collections

Received multiple calls from an unknown number. They left a voicemail with a phone number saying i needed to contact them for a final notice, that i should contact them otherwise i would be served at home or work. I called the number to make sure someone hadn’t potentially opened something in my name etc. when i began asking questions i was told they were a firm representing Bank of America and there was a lawsuit against me for backed overdraft fees that had now amounted to around $3,000. I stated i have never had a Bank of America account and the girl put me on hold and a guy got on the phone. He proceeded to attempt to confirm my address, last 4 of social, and phone number all which i refused. He stayed in role and stated he could not share any further information with me.

They were well scripted and sounded almost believable. This IS A SCAM. I confirmed with Bank of America’s fraud department. There is also no collection on my credit report.
