Type of a scam Debt Collections

Called my older cell phone number and told my wife I needed to call asap. That number was the 469 area code on caller ID but was told to call the 844 area code. When called scammer had my SSN and name and date of birth and said I needed to set up to recieve an official summons to the case number to find out where I was being sued at. They also had the wrong employer listed along with a company suing for "damages" that has not existed for three years. I been sued before. They serve the papers with a contact to debt collector not what the scammer did, offer me a chance to pay the ammount of the alleged l am supposed to be sued for.
