I received a voicemail from a man who was supposed to be affiliated with our county court, by the name of Mark Costner, that I’d be served court papers at my home or place of employment on 06/02/2018 Saturday between the hours of 12-5pm unless I called 844-569-7902. I called the number and this is the info I received by a man named James Sullivan. He claimed the debt is for a Payday loan through Advance America. I don’t remember even taking the Payday loan however the man told me I would be charged with Fraud and Theft of I didn’t pay the amount of $3823.00 but the attorneys he was mediating for would settle on a balance of $954.38, I was afraid that’d I would be arrested and charged so I gave him my debit card information and James Sullivan told me I would have a confirmation email by the end of Thursday 5/31/2018, but the latest at 10am Friday 06/01/2018. Which I didn’t receive until today 06/05/2018. The conversation did not sit right with me so I decided to research both men, the business. I went to my local sheriff department and I was told Mark Costner doesn’t work with our county court and I was unable to find the company that James Sullivan was "mediating" for. I did however find that James Sullivan has been calling other people since June 2014 asking for people to pay the same exact amount of $954.38. I have filed a police report.
