I was sent a request to enroll in the City of Cincinnati’s benefit enrollment via 46659mobile on my messenger on my phone. It came in at 12:55PM ON 10/7/2019, and it listed a website at www. COCBenefits.com and a phone number 866-477-1604, and that an email would be sent explaining how I should respond. I still have not received the email, so I called the number today at ~ 5:15pm and spoke to a man named Gary. He asked for my complete name which I gave him and he said my name was not in the system, and could I give him my social security number. When I told him I would not due to having learned not to as far as this was how scammers worked. His reply was even if I was in the system, this would be how they determined my correct account. He then asked what company did I work for, for the City. This flagged me because my Benefits were due to my being homeless and winning my disability case, not for working for the city or any other company. I then terminated the call.
