Type of a scam Business Email Compromise
The person on the phone also gave an 888 666 2209 toll free number but refused to give a call number.
He said that his name was Mark Jordan – but he sounded Indian – seemed like a scam being run out of India … ( …suspicious… )
He also mentioned that he had sent a tracking info to my e-mail which they appear to have guessed – (… increased my suspicion …)
The Caller ID for the number came up as 960 249 6600
He hung up once I started asking him questions “….thanks for your time …. “ .Called to say they were sending me a package to my work address. Attempt to verify my work address and e-mail OR attempt to get me to say the phrase YES —-
