Our home was on foreclosure, but we had paid in full the amount our loaning bank had told us, to get rid of foreclosure, but shortly after we received a phone call from "citihomes" asking for the money to stop the lawyers they had gotten for the foreclosure process on our home. They met with us, and upon arriving they offered a modification giving us a 2% to refinance, but we would have to pay $2,600 within 24 hours. We told them we didn’t want to refinance, we went to stop foreclosure. However, we were in doubt because we had already paid our bank the money owed to stop everything and become current with our mortgage. The men then responded that we had to pay the lawyer fees and we asked if we could do payments because we didn’t have that money anymore given we had just paid a large sum to our loaning bank, so then they extended the offer to a week. As we came home, we called our bank and told them the situation, they told us that we have nothing to pay that everything is current, and whoever called us is a scam. these "Citihomes" scammers, have been harassing us, calling non stop and asking for the money, and they gave us an account number (921675435/ Chase) to send the money. The names given were Juan Martinez and Mario Martinez.
