We bought 2 tickets to Cancun Mx for $1,403.42. Our flight was to leave in April 3, 2019 but due to the pandemic, our flight was cancelled. Delta has since refunded Cheapticketsdeal the money. It has been 6 months and Cheapticketsdeal hasn’t refunded my money. I have called at a least a dozen times and they keep on saying that because of the pandemic they are encountering technical difficulties, that they are working remotely and I will get my refund. No refund has been issued to this date. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. SCAM-SCAM-SCAM

Type of a scam Identity Theft

CheapTicketsDeal.com did not work and was highly suspicious for a personal information gathering scam. I strongly advise against using this Online Travel Agency (OTA). Their website seemed reasonable and after I went through with the order they even held the initial reservation with Delta (I called Delta to confirm). However they did not make the purchase on my credit card and instead sent an email requesting further credit card authorization via a paper form with full credit card information including number, expiration, and security code (which I had already supplied to their website) as well as drivers license number or passport. In this same email they requested a photo copy of the credit card and ID (drivers license or passport) before being able to book the flight. I called their customer service 1-800-547-0086 and they did answer right away each time however said the form was "for the buyers own security". I sent a partially de-indetified version of what they requested, essentially providing them with little more than what I had already provided with the original purchase which was my name, address, and credit card information. In the hopes that this might work since they had in fact held the reservation through delta. However then when I called back they said their "discount had expired" and I had to pay the same fair as I would pay going directly through Delta. There was no information on their website or the confirmation email about the discount expiring and I had done all of this within 24 hours. They did then cancel my reservation and have not charged anything to my credit card however I am concerned about them selling my information. I wish I had checked on this site ahead of time. This was very unsatisfactory and makes me hesitant to use Momondo, which had referred me, out of fear of unvetted third party OTA’s. Otherwise I have found Momondo to be a useful site.
