Started when I requested car insurance on a website that provided quotes from many companies at once. I then Received a call from some kind of broker offering to provide cheap car insurances through various companies such as All-State, 21st Century, Mercury. Will ask what kind of car insurance you currently have and details like how many cars, age, etc.

Will then start a conference call and connect to other insurance companies to give you quotes and will stay on the line to listen to whatever information you give to the insurance agent. I did not give any bank or credit info. I only gave age, name, occupation, number of cars, etc.

The quote I got was more expensive than what I currently pay. The agent and I then ended the call and the broker hung up without formally providing information. Nobody answers The call back number andonly provides an answering machine asking to leave a message.
