Type of a scam Online Purchase

I was selling a car on craigslist. A woman responded saying her boyfriend wanted the car and would I provide my personal email. I have a generic email I use for junk mail so I gave her that address. Her "boyfriend" enthusiastically raved about the car (which he had yet to see) and said he definitely wanted to buy it but that his loan officer insisted on seeing a certified copy of the title, which I could purchase for only $24.95 from https://www.vtreports.com/, and he would reimburse me the cost. After doing a bit of internet searching it became apparent this was scammy, so I responded that I would need to go to his bank with him to get the cashier’s check for the purchase anyway, so I could show the loan officer the original title at that time. I would also be going to the Licensing office with him to do the transfer, so he could rest assured that the transfer was legit. He responded that the loan officer was insistant. I then told him I wasn’t interested and, if he continued to insist I would assume he was part of a scam and report him to ScamPulse.com and included a link to the ScamPulse.com page about this type of scam. Never heard from him again.
