Type of a scam Phishing

Scammer used this address to contact me on Craigslist regarding a home entertainment sound system I had just posted. They specifically asked if the item was still for sale and what the price was.

A second individual named “Dwayne Cruz” responded by saying he would pay for the item without checking it out first. He intended to pay by personal check and offered include an additional $50 if I would take the posting down.

I informed the individual that checks would not be acceptable and never heard back. I assume this is a scam and want others to be aware in case they are phishing for other victims.
