Type of a scam Debt Collections

My family, friends and I whose numbers I don’t even know keep receiving calls from a 1-866-798-0694 and 1-866-204-0462 number claiming to be a mediation company called CFF. They keep calling different numbers saying that I owe for a payday loan from 2012 that I never paid because my bank account of 18yrs had been either frozen or closed. Umm, excuse me I said, my account has NEVER been frozen or closed and I even called my bank to double check as if I didn’t know. And further more, I just paid my credit off and check it regularly with Credit Karma (they also send alerts with any new activities), I just purchased a $31K vehicle because my credit is cleared. So this concerned me.

Anyhow, I asked them to provide me with a letter or any documentation confirming this debt, they said that they couldn’t and that my options were to either pay them the $390.00 or go to court and it will cost me more. Yet, they couldn’t provide me with my new address or anything current. Every time I called I asked for a manager and they would put on a supposedly Senior advisor. I asked them did they have a corporate office a few said yes, the rest said no and then one proceeded to give me the number which started with 804 and when I asked her to repeat it, she hung up. And this game continued on for several phone calls (one also told me that the office was located in Charleston) and the last few said that they didn’t have a corporate office at all. I was like, "Really" so what are you all privately owned? If so, then give me that info. again, nothing. They are very rude and ignorant and I don’t know of even one debt collector that acts that way.

In a nutshell I asked them to send me to court today and last week when I thought that was the end of it only for them to keep calling people oh and let me add on new numbers that weren’t even in affect in 2012. They said that they would send the info to county court and that I would have to deal with it there and I said fine so take the other people whose numbers I don’t even know off the list because if I’m who your looking for here I am and you have my number! Again more bull crap. And they claim to be a company called CFF (and the acronym stands for nothing) yet when you call it says Postal?! SMH

I want to have them charged for harassment, wasted time and scamming! This is just beyond ridiculous.
