I recieved a call from a man claiming to be with consumer credit services. I had never heard of it this business before, he was asking for me by my maiden name (over 6 years since I have been married). I told him that was me but no longer my last name, asked what this was regards to he said it was a personal business matter, needed my full name, address, date of birth and social security number. I refused and asked what it was in regards to he said without my Info he couldn’t give my that information. I asked to speak with a supervisor, same man came back on the line said he was the supervisor. I asked where he was located, he said in India but the office was in Jacksonville FL. I asked to speak to someone in the United States office, he said they refused to speak to me, asked me for my info again and then told me I would go to jail if I didn’t provide them with my information.

I have received numerous calls from this number 866-499-1855 claiming to be from Central Credit Services (CCS). While CCS seems to be a legitimate business located in Florida, the said number does not appear as a valid contact number in CCS’s website. I have not responded or replied to any of the calls. I have not received any communication in writing from CCS (or any other debt collection agency) that allows me to corroborate the caller’s claim. I saw a similar complaint by another BBB user.

This company calls then tells you there is a problem with your credit and asks you to hold while they transfer you to another person. The other person asks for your social security number before giving you any information. I, of course, refused. They call weekly even after being asked not to call and threatened with a report to the BBB.
