Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare
Cold calling pt. selling need for their products that would be "free" through medicare then getting the pt private medical information, dob, etc. Notifying the primary care doctor reporting need for braces for back, knee, shoulders. "Verified" personal info from pt including date of birth, problem list and physician info. Prescription sent to Dr. for signature based on "request from pt.". Then requested medical info to complete the file. Dr. did not order braces.
