These people change their names, emails and location of residence. See below. Scammed out of $200. Then tried to get $100 visa gift card. I feel terrible and mad at myself for letting this happen but i needed a dog as emotional support. Sent photos i saw on website after I googled the ones she provided me. I hope they get what’s coming to them and go to jail. Terrible & evil people.

Hi,
Thanks for your mail regarding my Maltipoo puppies , I have 2 puppies

All pups leave with vaccine cards, includes food toys, puppy packs .They are up to date on all heir shots and will be coming along side their health papers and vet records . They are very intelligent and highly socialized puppies …

We call them Ruby and Mason. We’re actually rehoming them for $400 each which includes shipping to any city if needed be . All i want is just a home where they will be given the best love and care. They are very playful with kids and other household pet. If you have children, that would be great because they are very playful with children.

I’m now living in Sylva, NC and the puppies are here with us, since we came to Sylva, NC , my daughter has been the one taking care of these
puppies , now she just got a new job and we found out that the nature of her new job is really demanding and she can no longer find much time taking care of the puppies . We came to a conclusion to look for someone who would provide a loving home for them .. It would be appreciating if you can provide the kind of love and care we wish for the puppies.

If you will be taking my puppies then i will like to know a few details
from you as required below :

Are you really a pet lover ?

Have you ever owned a Maltipoo puppy before?

How soon do you want a puppy with you , because we need an urgent home ?

I came across this site:https://cathysmaltese.business.site and sent an email requesting for sales information on a Maltipoo puppy email: [email protected] She said has 2 maltipoo puppy Masson & ruby both 3month 1 week old that need to be rehomed as her daughter couldn’t take care of them, she is in Chicago, IL. Each puppy is $500 including shipping to any city and there are no other charges. When asked to show puppy on video call, she decline rudely. After persuasion sent only pics & video. She asked to give gift card for $300 first yo put hold the puppy for me then another $200 to mark it purchased & remove from site. I paid the total $500 as gift card by 10Oct.She confirmed that puppy is mine but when asked for document of Purchase, she told will send as part of puppy delivery. I waited almost 1 week after this still she didn’t sent any document and still the same puppy is on her site for sale. I reasked for official document to show the purchase she asked to open an account on www.Paxful.com using email id: [email protected] but provide my id proof, address proof. She kept saying she will use this to pay for delivery service. This site turned out to be a Bitcoin trading site, when I told I am not comfortable to do this setup she started insulting me and bullying me thru the message chat. I was forced to create account on that site. A day later she came back asking for addition $105 to do this paperwork. When I declined to pay that she again started harnessing me by saying I am not serious etc, play with my emotional weakness. I finally gave in & agreed, she asked me to transfer the $105 thru Zelle account that was not the same as her email & looked suspicious(email:[email protected],Name: Billclinton odada). Then she told me this money went to Paxful account I created which somehow got locked. To proceed in this state she asked for another $200 gift card, stating she will pay back $105 later. She made this as an excuse of not able to proceed and provide with Purchase paperwork.I informed her I can’t get additional $200 gift card, she called me rude, unwilling for puppy & some other harsh statements. She caused me emotionally torture, so I asked to cancel the deal & return my money, she threw an angry fit with harsh comments. After a day she came back saying she got it resolved, sent me a sales contract to sign which was not notarized.I signed and sent back, when asked for a sign copy with both party she again said it will be sent with puppy delivery. I asked her to give me a formal purchase document to show the puppy ownership transfer to me, she started asked for more money $315. This was second time she asked for additional money that she didn’t disclose upfront in the initial conversations.

Till now I have paid her $605 excluding gift card purchase fees and told her multiple times to cancel the deal and refund me. Have been following up since 2Nov for refund. she has psychologically harassed me. Due to her I suffered panic and anxiety attacks, deteriorated mental/emotional/ physical health.
I have field a compliant regarding her on https://reportfraud.ftc.gov
Please help if there is any other way to get refund and stop this scam. I have got her physical address but not sure if its valid one or now. Unfortunately I can’t go there as I am in different State.

I am filing a police report; a report with Zelle and a report with my bank… the amount of money these people have scamed is ridiculous and I am so angry with myself for falling for this.

The amount of money being racked up is MORE than equal to a federal offense and these ***ers need to go to prison.

I’m so mad.

I saw an ad from this same person Cathy Guisewite (Cathy’s Maltese) for two Maltipoos Ruby and Mason. She had the same story, her daughter got a job and couldn’t care for them and Needed a home asap. Pics sent to me of pups were exactly the same as others got. She said $1000 per dog would cover all costs and shipping. It was very realistic and i almost fell for it. Thank you to those who reported her as it was what saved me.

PLEASE BEWARE OF CATHY GUISEWITE! SCAM ARTIST.I had a similar experience as everyone else I see! I found her site and asked foif she had the apricot maltipoo puppy available. Her email back to me seemed so real that she really had me fooled! She also described the puppies so well and mentioned that her daughter now has a new job and is unable to care for the (2) Maltipoo puppies that are 3 months and 1 week old now. She was asking only $500 for each that included travel as well! All she wanted was to know that her puppy had a loving home to relocate! I should’ve known better! What really threw me off was her wanting to know about me and how eligible my family and I were to able to take care of the puppy. I can’t believe I told her about my family and I in some detail! I just got to the point where she asked for my full name and address and the nearest airport. She also added at the end of the last email:
“When i get the information i will take the information to branch delivery agency here to book the next available delivery schedule for the puppy. I wish you knew how much joy it gives me to know that, he is finally going into a lovely home. Again thank you so much…God bless you and i wish you a happy life time with the puppy. we look forward to paying you a visit someday”.
Of course not thinking, I gave her that information but I will not send her a dime! She needs to be reported and stopped! There are a lot of sick people out there preying on good people and to mention “GOD BLESS”! Makes me sick! Her email “[email protected]

Kyle – Nov 07, 2020

This is the same puppy , I paid $605 for & she confirmed it was mine on 10 Oct. Was suppose to deliver. Which never happened.

I sent a text to +1 (609) 337-5016 as that was the number that said to contact about the teacup Morkies. I was told to email his wife Cathy at [email protected] as she would send me information and pictures. She sent me the same exact information that is stated here in these complaints but the names of the dogs were Fendi and Carla, they had one male and one female and they were 3 months, 2 weeks old. They needed rehoming as their daughter had them but she got a new job and they found that the job did not allow her the time to take care of the puppies.
She asked about how I would care for dogs and keep her updated on them. I was very curious as she said they would come with a bunch of things but they only had their 1st set of shots and by this age I would believe they should have had more shots. Also, the phone # I texted was a 609 # which I would think to be NJ and I asked the person I texted that and he never replied. I found out from Cathy they are from Illinois.
I have done a lot of research on scammers and I thought the price of $500 was cheap for teacup Maltese so I googled her name and found this site.
Thank God!

Hi, we also just contacted this scam breeder. Luckily I already sensed it was a scam when they said they would fly the puppies to anyone who was willing to buy them. Real breeders don’t do that. To everyone who is looking to buy a puppy, please don’t buy from a pet store but be patient and buy from a real local breeder. Anyone who says they will fly the puppies without even seeing you first are either a scam or a puppy mill, which in the US is still legal unfortunately. This is their email address: [email protected] and phone number: +1 609 337 5016. Do not send them money!

They almost got me too. I was so close to sending money and then I did a web search and found these posts!
Thank you so much!
You saved my family and I from not only being scammed but also highly disappointed!

Now I believe they have moved to scamming for sphynx cats. I searched up the email that made me zelle money and it pulled up this thread because the email is associated as Cornellius Kipchirchir with the email [email protected] who is known as her “husband” in a different complaint in this thread. I had no idea of the woman as I only dealt with the man. The website he scammed me of is http://sphynx.company.com/# Although the difference in my story compared to others is he even went to the extent of making a “contract” for us to sign regarding the cat and delivery before making payment. Which made the process so believable. Then I payed $1000 for the cat via zelle. Next day got an email from some pet Express travel place or whatever, they asked for in total around another $1000 or so for the crate rental, insurance and etc which they stated would be refunded after. But I didn’t pay being that I had already payed cornellius for “travel insurance” as he said so I knew then I was being scammed. The email was tryin to rush and said they had my cat and even their website looked legit. So now I’ve lost $1000 and am filing a police report.

Antonio – May 20, 2020

Remembering now, a blocked number called with a womans voice after The false email was sent because I had kept calling the man to ask whats the deal because I had gotten the sense i was being scammed and he stopped answering. Obviously she had got my number from cornellius. She asked why I kept calling and acted oblivious when I mentioned the cat, then hung up.

Janet – May 20, 2020

Cathy has changed her name my person’s name was Mary but I also had to send [email protected] my money $475 for the puppy $600 for a crate and $410 for being left overnight at the facility. I have reported to my bank, she has also began taunting me on IG asking me if I am poor now. I would like to file a civil suit she used to work for the Tampa police department, She uses reginatpd32 as a username for many things and is not hard to find. She keeps blocking and social media and replying from other accounts

Type of a scam Online Purchase

I have been searching for maltipoo puppies for my daughters. I found "Cathy’s" website and she had two puppies available for just $800, including shipping. I submitted the contact form on the website and the scammer contacted me by email with all the information about the puppies and some questions for me to answer. I agreed to purchase one of the puppies and "Cathy" was all "God bless you," and so happy that these puppies will be in a loving home, and all I have to do is provide my address and closest airport. I thought it was weird that she didn’t mention how to pay, so I asked. I also asked for the name of the puppy transport company because I wanted to check them out. While I waited for her to get back to me, I googled her name, Cathy Guisewite, and found out that it’s the same name as the Cathy cartoon script creator. Interesting. Such a unique name, but maybe there’s another who’s selling me a puppy, right? Then I looked back at her email address and it was "[email protected]" I googled that email address and found a report about this person running a puppy sale scam and describing exactly what was happening to me. I felt like an [censored], but so relieved that I googled her before sending any actual personal information. "Cathy" got back to me and said to provide my phone number so we could text along with my address as requested and then we could go from there. I told her no, thanks.

They wanted to charge me $950.00 security deposit and shipping, $300 ventilated create… than 98% will be refunded. But they don’t answer any of my question which airport, after refund how much etc… I reported my bank. They also told me it is a scam because there name no longer showing who the money went to. I lost $450.00 in this scam. She never answer or refund even $300 back. Nothing. I will go police department to report.

Cathy Guisewite and Nakiyyah Blue emailed me about two Maltipoo puppies named Mason & Rubi 3 months old. The puppies had a very good temperament and needed a new home. She said the puppies needed a new home because she was moving to Chicago.Cathy Guisewite asked for $450 for the puppy Mason. I emailed her and I shared my name, address and phone number. All the conversation was done by her email [email protected] and texts (312) 899-6470;(518) 333-2164 and her WhatsApp(201)579-3480. She asked me to pay on cash app or Zelle.Unfortunately, I used the Zelle on my app bank. She asked me to pay the $450 through her husband name Cornellius Kipchirchir his email: [email protected] After 3hrs she texted me saying that Mason was ready to be delivery to my house by a delivery company name Animal land pet movers. The delivery company emailed [email protected] and texted me (312)940-9849. The company asked me to make a $950 deposit to Zelle by email [email protected] name Dionna Williams. I paid the $950 then He said that in a few minutes he would give me the puppy flight information. After 30min he asked me for $285 for the puppy to be fed and get water. He said if I do not pay the $285 I wouldn’t get the puppy. I called Cathy Guisewite but she did not answer. She texted me through WhatsApp saying that I should pay because the puppy Mason was ready to come to my house and I should not let her down or Mason. So I paid again to Zelle email [email protected] name Regina Mygrant. After that I never got any flight information. I texted Cathy Guisewite and I told her what was going on. She said to me not to worry that Mason would be in my house on Sunday morning May 10. In the meantime she asked me to be added on her contact list. She asked me if I got her text with 6 digit code from google. I said yes. Then she replied by saying can you give me the code as I trusted her I did give her the 6 digits google code. After all that I called my friend who is a retired police officer. I sent her all Cathy Guisewite emails, texts and WhatsApp and the delivery texts and emails. My friend called your bank right the way you have been scammed. I cannot believe that this woman Cathy Guisewite was an evil and dishonest person. She seemed so nice and lovely and passionate about pets. Please, be aware of these people. I hope people can be aware of this type of scammer.
