They posted an ad for an Operations Manager working from home and I applied. They then sent me an email stating they would like to offer me the position pending background check. They sent me an offer letter and I9 form to complete and requested passport and SS card and I sent that so they could run my background. Three days later they sent me an email that my background had cleared and now they needed me to send in a W-4 and my bank account info for direct deposit and to deposit customer checks. That’s when I got suspicious and contacted you. Afraid they have my passport and SSNumber and license number and address already though.

i was contacted regarding work from home employment. I was told if my background check cleared then I can start work on a probationary period. They requested my passport and ss card and license to run my background. After 3 days I was contacted again by email to say I passed the background check and can start training on Monday. I needed to send them by bank info for direct deposit and to establish an account that the vendors can send their check to. At that point I knew for sure it had to be a scam and after more research I found info on the web confirming my biggest fears were true. Spent the entire day now trying to alert my bank and credit agencies in the event of identity fraud.
