I posted an ad on Craigslist to sell a car. A scammer writes me back via email and says he’s interested in the car, but he would like me to go to a website and pay for a title history: "I’m interested and ready to come , see , test and make a deal for it .

I need something rather soon , but I have to let you know that I’m getting a pre approved $68k project loan.

For that reason ,the lender has requested a title history report from https://www.carhistorydetails.com . Hope that is not an issue for you as we will be able to pay cash or cashier check.

The project is to buy a used vehicle and invest the rest of the money to build a unique one and then sell it for profit.

Please get back once you have the PDF title report so I can pass it to lender and get his final approval for this sales."

Turns out Carhistorydetails.com is a scam website to get my email/password and credit card info.
