Type of a scam Home Improvement

A guy came to my door yesterday. He implied that he was from the government and needed to inspect not only my furnace, but the clearance areas around the furnace. I told him he was not getting in, that I had heard about people who say they are inspectors and really are casing your house for future theft. He got very rude and arrogant and said that if I didn’t let him in, his manager would have to come back. When I looked his company, Canadian Standards Home Services up online, I found a bunch of stuff.  They aren’t from the government, they are just salesmen.
