A woman called and said "because I stayed at one of their resorts before I was entitled to huge discounts for future stays." She then asked if I could hear her because she was having trouble with her headset. I think I did say yes, and then she started rattling all these discounts she would give me so I hung up. googled the number and she used that same "my headset isn’t working" line with others.

Answered phone, and a voice said, "Jack, this is customer service. Can you hear me?"

I hung up, since we heard about this scam last evening on our NBC affiliate here in Portland, ME.

Call came on our flip phone, not data phone.

I was called by this number. The caller’s voice was breaking up. Then I was asked "can you hear me?" When I said yes, the caller started talking but it was no longer breaking up. I told caller this was not a good time to speak at which time I realized it was a recording. I was at work so I just hung up. This morning I read of a scam that does this type of situation.

I have been contacted by the 207-420-8523 for several days now. They had been asking if I could hear them and a lot of the time they were choppy. The times I said no, they immediately hung up. Yesterday they called again and I said sort of. He was asking me if I diabetic or was pre-diabetic. I said no, he got angry and made sure I wasn’t. When I said no he hung up and have not been contacted again

I received a call on my cell phone yesterday. When I answered the phone, after a few seconds of silence, a woman asked "can you hear me now?" I responded yes, and she then apologized for the delay and blamed it on her headset. Before I could get another word out, she started to tell me all about this exciting and most amazing contest I won – prize was some vacation. I hung up about 30 seconds in, as soon as I realized the live person was no longer there and I was listening to a recording. Didn’t think anything of it until I saw a report today in our local news warning of this very type of call.

They asked if I could hear them correctly and I said yes. I didn’t realize it was an automated system. When I realized it after they told me I won a free trip to the Bahamas I hung up. I didn’t not give any personal information.
