Type of a scam Healthcare/Medicaid/Medicare

Began receiving phone calls from men claiming to be from a “Medicare warehouse” saying they had a back and knee brace that a physician had ordered for me. They were asking me to provide my address so they could ship them to me. I told them I did not need/want a knee or back brace and I knew my doctor had not ordered one. These people somehow got my home address and sent the braces anyway.

I called the company to return the braces and the representative said he could print the return label for me as soon as I provided him with my date of birth. I refused-I told him I didn’t want or order the braces, I was not giving him any personal information and I just needed a return shipping label. He refused to provide one for without my dob, said it would be a HIPPA violation if he did so and told me I would need to pay to ship the braces back to them myself.
