Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

I searched for land surveyors online. Their website came up and looked very legitimate and the price was reasonable so I called the number. They texted me back that the quote was correct, $800.00 for a personal property line survey. They set up their next available appt. and two young men showed up with survey equipment. They were in a U-Haul rented pick up but they did seem to know what they were doing. When they were done marking the property borders, I gave them an $800.00 check. They gave me a receipt and said I would have the survey in my email within 2 business days. When it still hadn’t shown up, I began calling again and trying to go onto their website. The website is now down. The last contact was yesterday when they texted and promised the survey by last night. It again never came. I looked up all six of their listed locations and there is no record of them in those buildings. There is a legitimate company called Caliland Engineering in Alhambra who are not affiliated but have disclosed that they have received several calls from other consumers that have been frauded by these people. The contact’s name is Alex W. The check has been cashed unfortunately.
