Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I was trying to sell clothes on Poshmark. Some random (who I thought was a woman) Commented saying to email her, she wants two dresses for her daughter. I emailed her like an [censored], and she told me her daughter was in the hospital. She then said she was sending a check with the money. I waited a week nothing came. I emailed her back and she said a check would be coming, but it was a check for their daughters hospital bills.. By accident…And they made it a point to say it was for their daughters hospital bills a few times, and it was important. I got the check a couple days later and it was way more money than I thought and I was scared, I didn’t know what to do! They then asked for my number so it was easier contact and I didn’t want to be weird orhave them not trust me with this huge chunk of money. I didnt deposit it right away they harassed me for days, and I had trouble putting it through the ATM machine. I eventually went into my bank and they said that was weird and put the money into my account. I then used Venmo to send the money to this person.. To find out later that day, that I was scammed. I got a message from the owber of the business that I thought the check had came from and he told me it wasnt him and he filed a police report, plus HE NEVER APPROVED OF THIS check. I don’t know how I even got the money in my account to send to the scammer. I contacted the police they said theres not much they can do, because it wasn’t my name they used or money..and my bank said I owe them all the money back. I am a stay at home mom, with no money, and I don’t want to pay money back for something that I was scammed over.
