Type of a scam Debt Collections

The lady called and left a message at my office saying that a subpoena was gong to be issued to me tomorrow and to call this number. They also gave me a case number.

I called the number and the lady never said the name of the business. She asked for my home address and for my social security number. I told her she needed to give me information on what this is about and she refused unless I gave her my ssn.

I told her that I was not giving out information if I don’t know what it’s about. The lady got upset and started screaming at me saying " we have all of your information and ssn and I’m garnishing your paycheck" then she hung up.

Then I received a call back later from the same person an hour later. This time she Left her name (Ms. Miller) on my voicemail and said the she has my info and that paper work will be sent to garnish my wages. This time the call came in as "no caller id"

The problem is if I was getting a subpoena the next day, why are you calling me and trying to get my personal information?
