Stupidly, I purchased a $600.00 Dachshund puppy from the website https://bowmandachshundshome.com/product-category/dachshund-puppies-for-sale/
It is a total scam. They use the following fake names: Hayley Bowman, Lizz Singley, and James Brio. Don’t ever use apps like CashApp or Zelle to send payments to people you don’t know. These apps should only be used for known legitimate businesses. You can’t talk to anyone at Bowman Dachshunds, either; and they later asked for an additional 950.00 because the crate for shipping was not approved using American Sweft Airlines with an actual confirmation number claiming due to COVID-19. How sad, that they go so far to rip people off. In my case, my loving dachshund had just passed; and I was looking forward to a puppy after no luck looking at the animal shelters.

I was onced almost scammed from this website. They sent me pictures and everything, it just seemed to good to be true. Just to let everyone know do NOT order a puppy online. The only way you will actually adopt a puppy is contacting a breeder and meeting in person. I don’t know if anyone noticed but those puppy posts on the website will stay there forever, I went back to the website 5 months after and it still says the puppies age are the same.

My daughter and I was set to receive a puppy. The person emailed us and said that the pup will be delivered 1St thing in the am. The guy then texted my daughter and told them that we will need to submit 1200 as a hold and we will receive the money back once the puppy has landed. We submitted the extra 1200. Hours past and another email was sent stating that they needed an additional $1000 was needed for insurance from Kentucky to NY or we will be considered abusing the puppy. I called the police after.

I saw your post too late. I just sent this guy $670. We are supposed to get our puppy tomorrow😢… The email details are identical. After I saw your post, I contacted my bank for a recall request and to open a fraud investigation. He said he was in VA, but I never got an address or a phone number. He was so responsive and it was quite a setup involving multiple email exchanges. I sent an email requesting immediate contact, but have heard nothing back. I am very sad and very angry. His website is quite sophisticated and and it makes him look like a well respected breeder with AKC seals and health/breeding guarantees. Here was his last email to me this morning:

We will be stepping out in a few minutes to get her last vet examination done .She will come to you with a handbook showing her lifestyles as well as feeding, and toilet habits. She will also come alongside a bag of puppy food which will take her for 2 weeks, 2 puppy outfits, Some pee pads, Baby blankets, Puppy Care Kit, play toys, feeding bowls. Her vet records are well explained in the handbook as well as some helpful information that will help you facilitate the transition process. She will also come home with AKC registration papers and a health guarantee paper that is still valid for one year. I will be with the shipper first thing in the morning to get her booked for the first flight that leaves for the Tampa International Airport tomorrow morning. I shall also contact you with flight avail-abilities when making flight arrangements so that we can together get a flight with an arrival time that suits your schedule. I will be busy with other thing but I will be on it first thing in the morning. I will keep you posted.
Thanks Bowman.

I just read your post here and just wanted to know how things turned out. Did you ever get your puppy or money back? We are also looking for a puppy and I sent these people an email this morning, but, haven’t heard back. Must be because I said we don’t want the puppy shipped but would rather come and pick it up…I’m just curious to know how your situation has turned out. Thank you!

Type of a scam Online Purchase

Scammers communicated through email and text. Had me send money through Ria Financial. The said they worked with a private delivery service called Americans Sweft airways (also a scam). After they said they booked the flight I actually got a phone call from someone claiming to be from the delivery service. They even gave me tracking numbers to track the flight. I thought the dog was on its way and then at the first stop they started wanting more money sent for air conditioned crate to protect us and the pet from Covid 19 and other documents. Breeder said the company would deliver to pet to airport or home along with food, toys, training pads, etc.

Hi. I just saw your post here from May 7th, 2020. I just sent an email to this outfit about a puppy we are interested in. I told them that we don’t want the puppy shipped but that we would come to pick it up. They haven’t responded, that must be why. I am just wondering how your situation turned out. Did you get your puppy or your money back? Thank you so much!
