I was contacted by a supposed "hiring manager" by the name of Janet Johnstone for the company BNY Mellon Investment Management Company. They wanted to conduct an interview via the Google Hangouts app. The interview started out normal until they said they were going to send me a check via FedEx and to deposit it into my bank account that same day. They wanted me to pay some third party company for automated time clock system on a laptop they were going to send me. That raised a red flag to me and hence looked up the number they contacted me from only to find out it belongs to an escort in San Jose, California. They also wanted me to be awake at 8AM to begin training.

A woman named Kate Bytes will contact you pretending she is from this firm. She has an online ad on many legitimate job sites. She has you do the initial interview online but then offers you the job. She then of course says she us sending you a check right away to buy office equipment but you are to deposit it into your personal account right away and then contact her again.
