Hired this painter after a search online through a company called "Thumbtack". On Dec. 23, 2016 He came to our house to offer a free estimate for a painting job. We agreed on a price and gave him $300 for a deposit which he would use to buy the paint. He called a couple of days later asking my husband for more money, When My husband said "no because he said $300 should be enough money for the paint and that he was starting to have bad vibes, Ken, the painter, said OK.

I’ve been emptying the rooms of art work and small furniture in preparation of the paint job which was supposed to start today, Jan 23rd, and needed to ask him a question. It turns out his phone has been disconnected.

We contacted "Thumbtack" to find out if they had a new phone number for this company. They didn’t. They said they’ll put in a report on BEST HOME REMODELERS and get back to us.

Needless to say, the painters never showed up today and now it’s official, We’ve been scammed! Please help us!
