Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
A mobile check was deposited into my account. Within hours and over the next few days, multiple transfers, wires, and withdrawals were made. The check was returned after a week or so of investigations and now my bank says I owe them $2200.00 plus fees. I am a college student and I have no knowledge of how it happened nor do I have the money to pay them. The banks suggested I get an attorney. I called the bank when I became aware and they still allowed money to move around the account. I shouldn’t be responsible for that.
