I received a text message from phone number 484-389-8808 at 4:18am EST on 02/23/2020 which stated "Free Msg: BofA Fraud – For your protection, a hold has been placed on your ATM/debit card. Please call 1.877.247.7382 to verify your account." I believe this is a fraudulent message.

I was relaxing on the couch last night when I got a text message that said "Your Bank of America Online-ID has been locked due to failed login attempts. Tap on http://bit.do/ffkLq?3 to reinstate and update your profile. Ref: my cell phone number." I didn’t click on the link. But I thought about going to our account and seeing if there was any indication that it had actually been locked. Then I remembered seeing something about a scam like this. Beware!

Automated voice call saying that my Bank of America credit/debit card has been lost or stolen and in order to cancel the card, I must put in my 16 digit card number. Sure.. ok..
