Type of a scam Counterfeit Product

I am selling a truck and have it posted on craigslist.com. I was contacted by a woman named Sophia with the email address [email protected] She said she was reaching out to me on behalf of her uncle. He was interested in the car, but that his/her loan officer needed an official title report specifically from https://www.vthreport.com.The first time she/he sent me the link they actually typed it in wrong and it wouldn’t even open. I retyped it and checked the website out. Because I did not want to pay the $25 I asked if I could simply give the vin number to her just to see what she would say but again said it would not work and that I need to use specifically that website. I googled the website and found bbb.org and then looked it up on here.

Another women with the same scammer wrote that she saw the website had several flaws indicating it was a fake website. Its copyright was from 2016 and was registered to vincheck.com, a website that automatically redirects to carfax.com. She replied to Sophia and informed her I didn’t purchase a title report through her recommended website, but included a report for her that I personally purchased from *** She said that was not acceptable and again asked me to purchase one through vthreport.com. I suspect this is all part of a methodical scam preying on private car sellers. Please look into vthreport.com. Thank you!
