Called them to get a refund that I previously approved yesterday because I changed my mind and I was forced to stay on the phone with them to try and get my money back. They just tried to keep enticing me not honoring my request.

My daughter purchased a Honda CRV from my husbands used car lot two weeks ago. As soon as she registered it with DMV we recieved a notice from Auto Repair Network. It was very official looking and had "MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICES 2009 HONDA REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION-PLEASE ACT NOW" with a warning: $2,000 fine, 5 years imprisonment or both for any person interfering or obstructing with delivery of this letter U.S. mail TTL.18 U.S. CODE written on the front. On the other sides it tries to sell insurance and gives a phone number 1-877-223-5210. I don’t know how they got our information, unless DMV sold it to them and we gave no permission for such. I looked it up on the internet and others have said it is a scam and that the company Auto Repair Network changes their number almost daily and is not even a real company. I know when our sons bought cars, the same thing happened and we are still getting these fake notices. If DMV of Virginia is really selling peoples personal information of any kind, their should be an opt out when you register your vehicles.
